Leesburg Station

The passenger depot in Leesburg was built in 1860 by the Alexandria, Loudoun and Hampshire Railroad. Service from
Alexandria to Leesburg started on May 17, 1860. At the same time a freight house was built there, but was destroyed by
fire in 1898, and rebuilt by the Southern Railway in 1900.
